Karelia Tejada, a staff member in the Hackensack School system, sent us an E-mail on April 10, 2009 telling us that Arlene Vargas graduated from Hackensack High School in 2001 and served during the Afghan-Iraq Wars.

Upon my request, she sent us additional information on August 31, 2013 stating that Arlene Vargas still serves in the Army and has done numerous tours to Iraq, Germany, and Korea.
